Before you write

Many questions answer themselves once you know how the converter treats daylight saving. These three checks solve most problems:

  1. Check abbreviation vs. regional time

EST always means UTC−5, even in July, while Eastern Time switches to EDT during daylight saving. The same goes for PST vs. Pacific Time, CST vs. Central Time, and MST vs. Mountain Time. If your result is off by exactly one hour, this is almost always the cause — run the conversion again with Eastern Time or the city.

  2. Check the date you entered

Daylight saving follows the date, so a July meeting converts differently from a January one. Make sure the date in the converter matches the date of your actual event before reporting a wrong result.

  3. Check the FAQ on the homepage

The homepage FAQ covers how conversions work, how UTC offsets behave, and how to convert between cities. If your question is answered there, you save yourself the wait for our reply.

What to include in your email

The more concrete your message, the faster we can help. Please include:

  • For a wrong result: the exact date, the two places or abbreviations you picked, the result you saw, and the result you expected.
  • For a new conversion page: which pair you want (for example, GMT to PST) and what you would use it for.
  • If something isn't working: what you clicked, what happened instead, and your device and browser (for example, iPhone + Safari, or Windows + Chrome).
  • For anything else: one or two sentences describing what you were trying to do when you got stuck.

Screenshots are welcome — they often show the problem faster than words. Please don't send passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information; we will never ask for them.

When you will hear back

We are a small team and answer messages in the order they arrive, usually within a few business days. Reports of wrong results go first, because a wrong hour affects everyone; ideas for new features are collected and weighed against what most users need.

If your matter is urgent — for example, a meeting that depends on a conversion today — put the date and the two time zones in the subject line so your message is easy to spot.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer phone or chat support?
No — email is the only way to reach us. It gives us time to check the details properly instead of guessing on the spot, and it keeps the tool free for everyone.
Can you add my city or time zone pair?
Possibly. Tell us which pair you need and how you would use it. Pairs with broad demand — like the existing PST to EST or EST to IST pages — are the most likely to be added.
Where can I read about data and privacy?
See the privacy policy for what we collect (very little) and the terms of service for the rules of using the site.
